Lusk's come to Oregon

Uncle Dave, Ryan and Tate came up about a week before we all headed to the coast, to play w us here in Central Oregon. We love Misery Ridge hike at Smith Rock State Park so we let them experience the splendor and sweat!

This is typically the top of Misery Ridge, for most hikers, but not for Jaxon he likes to continue up the less traveled trail to....

 Here!!!
Unless you rock climb "Monkey Face" this is as high as you get! It's unfortunate that half the country catches on fire towards the end of summer for so many reasons, including ruining the views.

Dave thumbs down what he calls 'hippie' things, such as stacking of rocks 😜

Taking a rest at the bottom along the Crooked River.
That's Monkey Face in the upper right corner behind the tree.

Reenergized and doing heels clicks off the rocks

These two have been best buds since they were born.
It was so great to get them together.

Watching fish

We spent a day in Bend, we visited Ethan at Nike,
of course went to the Lego store, these boys coud have spend hours and lots of money there.

We thoroughly enjoyed Bangers and Brew! So yummy!

Played in and around the Deschutes River that runs though Bend
Tate and Jaxon holding there shorts up, showing off some nice white thighs!
We had to hold them off on floating the river for a day till Danny, Jill and family would be here to float w us.

Jumping into the Crooked River at Steelhead Falls
Personalities showed through here at the jump.
Jaxon had to take a few walks to the edge and back, gathering up a little courage.

But then took the leap and then went several more times!

Ethan had done this before but I feel there wasn't much hesitation with him to jump.

Tate just walked right over and jumped off, fearless!
 A big thumbs up!

Uncle Dave just jumped right in as well
After goofing off a bit first

Ryan was having no part of that crazy cliff jumping business!
Having fun doing silly jumps at the rivers edge

I love Central Oregon and I love when we get visitors to share it with. Danny, Jill, Ellie and Benson came the next day to join in the fun. I can't believe not a single picture. But we floated the Deschutes River on tubes through Bend. Afterwards went to 10 Barrel and devoured their infamous gorgonzola steak nachos like a pack of hyenas.
We also went to  Basecamp Pizza, their first night here, a Terrebonne fave and had great pizza, played horseshoes, and pirate ships outback.
