Dad's Birthday

I sure miss this guy. He was always in my corner. Miss his humor and love, wisdom and knowledge.
I believe I still think of him daily but spring definitely has him on my mind more w his bday, memorial day, flowers, animals and gardening....

First camping trip of the season

We made in one trip and w only one vehicle this time
We went to East Fort Rock OHV and camping, close to home

I hesitated to go camping this weekend since Memorial weekends typically are cold and rainy but w the forecast looking promising, we headed out after golf on Friday. Saturday night was clear w a big moon! Sunday and Monday were beautiful, sunny and warm.

This kid loves campfires! Building them, maintaining them and putting them out. Gotta keep an eye on him 😉

Out riding

I really like finding forest service roads, this was one that looked like it rarely gets used, perfect for a nice long hike while the boys were out on another ride.

Camping, dirt biking, and lizards, he's a happy boy

Riding that forest service road, it just kept on going.

Building a fire to grill up some brats, he found out how comfy my new shoes were as well. Cute.

Golfing

I don't think I've done a selfie from this hole, kinda pretty view.

While J was at his golf clinic Mitch and I got 9 holes in, we did good, maybe next time I'll keep score. 😊

Self Manager Fieldtrip

This is one of my favorite fieldtrips to help with, since it consists of just the kids grade 1-4 that have earned the Self Manager title. So it's a bunch of well mannered, respectful kids that are having a fun day away from school, provided to them by the PTC, pizza included.

Our group of kids that chose to hike Misery Ridge, they did great!

Another run w E

We headed just down the road for a nice trail run that included a hike down and back out of the canyon to check out the river and let Koda swim.

He was shivering but wouldn't quit!
Once it gets a bit warmer we may just jump in for a swim, too!

Marketplace at Terrebonne Community School

Summer Slime for Sale
Throughout the 5th grade year they have had an economic system in play and have been earning 'money' that they would use, not just spend at the market place, but they had to propose their business, their product they would be selling and also pay for the space that their business would occupy.
They had a marketplace at Christmas time as well. At that one Jaxon had decided to sell Elf Snot, green slime in a baggie, it was a hit and he made a lot of money. So he decided he wanted to stick w the slime idea but call it Summer Slime, available in fun bright colors. He said they were selling fast so he kept raising the price and still sold them all.
Parents were encouraged to come and purchase as well. We were given money and could come back for more, which was actually quite fun to go spend this money on fun products and then go ask for more when we ran out!

Mothers day

Mothers Day Round of Golf
Out w Mitch and Jaxon playing 18 holes

Mothers Day 4H meeting?
Sure enjoy watching him interact w friends! Here he had offered to read questions about rabbits to his group while they were to come up w the answers. This question that sparked giggles from these kids was, go figure, related to sexual reproductive parts!

These two beauties took me out for Mothers Day Dinner
Grubbin Food and drinks!

And the guys diggin in too

Oldest and Youngest

A great day and one I'm glad I got to be part of

Carrot Tops and More

After working the past three nights I got up at noonish so I could be w Jaxon to help w his 4h service project, which was to plant flowers and clean up the courtyard in the unit and hospital where I work. Much appreciated by the staff and patients!
While there I got a phone call from a very emotional Mo, she had floated to IMCU and had experienced her first crashing patient.
It was a day that I'm glad I got to be part of and see my children growing and experiencing these character building moments.

Sh!%show of a run 😜

Todays run, usually not this eventful, and confirms why i sometimes just like to run w/o this guy... if only he didn't love it so much, and I didn't feel so guilty when I literally have to sneak a way from the house so he doesn't know I'm going running w/o him.
This selfie, which was even harder to do w a dog, was after I had dopped my phone once and he had shit twice but before I fell down in the burrow pit, and he shit for the third time (I believe he has ebs- excited bowel syndrome) then he freaked at the passing vehicles (apparently his ptsd from getting hit 2 years ago is still alive and well).
But we survived and finished 6 miles; but definitely not our fastest time.

A birthday run w E ❤

Running hair, just don't care!
Sure enjoyed having this guy run w me this morning!
