This was the weekend that was going to kick spring break off, but turns out we'd have much longer than a week out of school. Friday evening Mitch and I golfed 18 holes. There were adaptions on the course to follow the new social distancing guidelines, but the course wasn't too busy at this point, which made for a great afternoon,
Saturday we decided we'd go riding and cook some hamburgers over the campfire for lunch. Again out in the open enjoying our 'social distancing'. It was another beautiful weather day and we ended up hanging out until evening before heading home.
It had been quite awhile since I had seen Jaxon ride- outside of our property. He and Mitch usually do their riding on my work weekend. I was very impressed w what a a great little rider he's become, and typical mom, it kinda scares me.
He was quite proud of this rooster tail!
According to Mitch, this is a common occurrence and scene w Jaxon, having his bike parked outside the outhouse when out riding. He knows the quickest ways to get to the outhouses!
Sunday- Another fun outing but so many other people had the same idea. I have the benefit of a non traditional work schedule, so all the times Jaxon and I have ridden here there had only been 2 or 3 cars between the 2 parking lots. On a beautiful warm Sunday, so many people were also trying to find some fresh air and distance too. Fortunately, there are many trail and miles so you really didn't encounter many people.

Here I come; my back tire came of just one time, and I only ran into one juniper tree,
but at least I didn't tip over and have a shoe fall off this time!

And Morgan! She was quite the trooper and made the whole ride w us. I can't think of many times she's ever been on a trail ride. She did great, but I think her backside was sore for quite a while - dang those tiny, hard bike seats!
Doing out part to support small businesses! General Duffys and the food trucks!
