Shooting and Christmas tree hunting

We headed South this year to find our Christmas tree. Probably the nicest weather we've hunted for trees in. And we had a little bonfire w hamburgers and did some shooting as well.

Found a better spot just down river and caught a little one. The splashing caught Huck's attention and he decided he needed to try and help bring it in.

Got this boy to come along even though it didn't include any type of bike, although we suggested he could take a mountain bike, he opted to walk in w us. Once we get him out he has fun even if he won't admit to it

He switched from wanting to have a Cat themed birthday party to a Harry Potter theme. I was looking forward to making a dirty kitty litter cake but this theme turned out great, despite the fact that the majority of us are Harry Potter novices. I think having the glasses and wands for everyone made us feel quite HPish!

We learned several spells, and many made up ones, too

Our drink mixer extraordinaire made a fun drink that you light on fire and sprinkle magic over to create flames! Way COOL!

I'm not a cake maker but I've turned into Dawson's Birthday Piñata maker the last few years

Muddin'

He's always asking to drive and if it's been raining he's asking if we can go muddin'. On our way home after a rainy day we pulled off and did a little off roading. He was definitely not as crazy as I thought he'd be, just took it slow and felt it out. I'm sure next time and especially w/o me, will be a different story.
