And all you can eat ice-cream for Birthday Ellie and Benson

FIFTEEN

Happy Happy Birthday to this wonderful human being! What a pure delight it is and has been to be his mother. I adore him in so many ways. His humor and wit are spot on. He's thoughtful and caring. Such a great friend to his friends. Athletic and adventurous, with so many interests it's hard to keep up and get them all in!

His favorite place to eat out.

He usually orders one of their exotic or wild game sausages w double cheese and tomatoes

along w a generous helping of their bacon gorgonzola fries.

Then we went to the bowling alley

Lots of donuts are his birthday dessert that he loves the most

JV Baseball - Spring 2022

Playing baseball for the High School!

He plays on 1st and has also been getting some pitching in. So fun to watch him.

Spring Break Fencing

We were originally wanting to go to Idaho to see friends and family during spring break but as it turns out spring break is the prime time for baby animal acquisition. So with all our new critters needing care we went w Plan B - putting up fencing around 5 acres. How hard can it be?? We bought supplies - some we over estimated on, some underestimated on. We rented a bobcat w an auger, roped the kids into helping and we dug in!

This was probably the highlight of the project, getting some machinery!

Morgan's spring break overlapped w our spring break,

so it was nice having her and Dawson around to help and play as well.

She hopped in and helped get the auger attached

Of course Jaxon was the hardest to get out of the bobcat to do some manual digging. He has a pretty good knack for machinery. And he was told that when all the holes were dug and if there were hours left on the bobcat he would be able to work on his motocross track w the scoop attachment.

Mitch taking his turn in the bobcat.

Mitch is quite savvy w movie lines and the movie Armageddon may have come up many a time while we were trying to dig through rocks to get to 24". Central Oregon sits on a lava bed. 😜

From Armageddon:

Rockhound: The reason we were shooting for grid 8 was because thermographics indicated that grid 9 was compressed iron ferrite…which means you've landed us on a goddamn iron plate.

Pretty sure we're sitting on compressed iron ferrite here as well.

Jaxon getting in some manual labor alongside Kylee, and borrowing her sunglasses, too.

Got em working the fence line

pausing to look at the latest IG Reel

They definitely did a good job, worked hard, had some fun and left w sore arms, backs and countless blisters. Hot tubbing and a tasty helped ease the pain at the end of the day!

Dawson posing in the tractor, he got a lot of reading done, he wasn't much into digging holes.

What a crew

We learned alot about fencing, some things we

would do and some things we shouldn't have done. Over all it turned out great. It's containing animals and people and keeping animal and people out.

Finally after having a bit of anxiety about having enough time to work on his motorcycle track, Jax got to hop in the bobcat and dig in the dirt and improve his track and jumps.
