Another Soccer Player

Against Jaxon's wishes I signed him up for soccer this fall. I have learned that with this boy I don't ask, I just sign him up. Turns out he is a complete mix of Ethan and Morgan's personalities-
                         Morgan being the one that was game for anything and everything, outgoing and loved meeting new people, she would give 110% and all her heart to the task at hand and then 
                         Ethan who needs a lot of persuasion to go and participate and not quite as eager to meet and explore new surroundings but a natural athlete with very little effort.

So now we have Jaxon. I 've learned to just sign him up because once I get him over to the coach and new teammates and he survives the first practice he declares "I love it" whether it's swimming lessons, soccer, baseball, school.... and he's pretty darn good at what he does!

Back to School 2013

This year we have a very handsome (with beautiful straight teeth! ;) Junior attending Itineris Early College High School. So excited for him and all that is in store for him!

Jaxon is headed off to 1st grade at Westvale Elementary, a little nervous but very excited for hot lunches and recesses! Thankfully, on his first day as he was walking into class his good friend Mattie, from Challenger, was there with a very enthusiastic hello.

I decided a hike sounded fun, a way of de - stressing after another interview. We hiked Bell Canyon Trail, just the first part to the reservoir. What a beautiful hike on a beautiful afternoon. And it helps curb some of Jaxon's need to constantly be doing something!

We sat here for a bit and listened to the water and watched the fish jump.

 It was a great hike and as we were headed back down I told Jaxon to be careful because I didn't want to have to carry him out, I turned, took a slip and wham! down I went. Gauging by Jaxon's reaction and concern, it must have looked awesome!

What does a six year old little boy who is interested in so many things get for his birthday.... a shovel of his own, a BB gun w a carrying case, a camel pack, headlamp, clothes, art set, legos and a matching game and some money. What a fun, energetic, athletic, talented, curious, loving, little big boy he is!

Easter 2013

The last time Jaxon did a community easter egg 'scramble' he was two. He was pretty excited to give this one a try and had lots of questions and worked up a game plan as we were standing and waiting for it to begin. The game plan was forgotten once the horn sounded and the loot was a bit on the lighter side. I think he was pretty overwhelmed by all the crazieness of it all once it started, but he had fun and ended up with some fun treasures!
