Zions, Grand Canyon and Moab revisited - 10 years later
We decided to head South for our first spring break of the year, as most know w children in different schools the odds of Spring Breaks falling on the came week are slim. For Ethan's we decided to revisit some of the national parks we visited when he was just about Jaxons age.
We stopped in Zions on our first day, hiked, enjoyed the warm weather and evening views. We traveled on and stayed in Tuba, Az so we could get to the Grand Canyon in the morning w/o having to get up too early.
Headed out on our first hike into Zions.
Grand Canyon
We arrived at the Grand Canyon mid morning and despite the clear, beautiful, sunny sky, it was quite brisk! The Grand Canyon truly is amazing. We so enjoyed experiencing it again. We hiked and hiked, found yummy food, couldn't get on the overcrowded shuttle to get back to where we parked, so then we hiked some more!
Moab, UT
After leaving Grand Canyon we Mitch drove as far as he could, which got us to Kayenta, Az and we found a motel and grocery store. Not a lot of options on this route back to Ut. I don't recommend this place (no offense to any Kayentians) but just keep driving is my advice!
We arrived in Moab in the afternoon and enjoyed a delicious bbq lunch at The Blu Pig and then went on and explored for dinosaur tracks and Indian petroglyphs,
