We've been thinking about raising our own pork for a couple years, we have a great beef supplier but struggle finding pork from year to year. Well we bit the bullet and found a great breeder in Prineville and went out and bought a couple piglets that were leftovers from his auction for the 4h kids'. The boar was a little runty and the gilt had gotten her left ear shut in a pen, so neither were desired by any of the 4hers that were going to show pigs. So we got a good deal on them.
