No more braces!!
I worked the night before my highly anticipated orthodontic appt, which was originally planned in the afternoon,the day before thanksgiving. I was planning to go home and sleep and then return to my appt.
But during the night while I was working a huge snow storm rolled in and dumped all night long, making commuting back and forth and then to the ortho office very timely and hazardous hardly worth driving home for but still too long of a time to just wait around in town. So I called the office in the morning and asked if they happened to have any cancellations d/t the storm so I could come in first thing..... I was so ready for them to come off. Fortunately, they had a couple cancellations but they were just waiting for a tech to make it in.
So I headed off across town, normally a 15 min drive, encountering mounds of plowed snow, intersections w mounds of snow and ice, sliding and stuck vehicles, jack knifed semis in intersection and the snow just kept falling.
Well, I made it, the tech made it and voila, braces off!
They joked in the office that nothing was going to get in my way for that appt!
and p.s. - I love my truck!
