New Spring Babies

We've got some cute new critters around.
Mitch's chicks. Jaxon's FFA market goats.
I guess that makes the bacon seeds mine.

RIP Nutmeg

One of our first pets we acquired when we moved out to the Ranch. He was a classroom pet that needed a permanent home. Jaxon had been helping the teacher w Nutmegs toenails and cares for a couple years at his elementary school, so she asked if he would like to give him a home. We took him in and he was w us for the last 6 years, we're not sure of his actual age, most likely in the teens. It's sad not hearing those little noises and having that little personality that became such a part of your day. The rattle of the water bottle, the jangling of the wire cage walls, sounds that will not soon be forgotten!

Huckleberry and Maggie make it to 2

Okay they haven't been that bad. But looking back over the puppy days I'm glad we're through it. Taking on two was defiantly interesting to say the least.

I took them for a birthday run just down the road. I'm sure they both enjoy it at their different levels. Maggie is less impressed by jogging along on a leash, it's too slow and she can't explore enough. But Huck is just fine w being on the leash and jogging along, he just likes to get out and go anywhere w you.

Maggie

Huck

Huck loves to go for for rides. He's up and looking out the window taking it all in

Maggie would rather stay home and take naps, snuggle and be in her comfort zone.

Huck is a bit goofy, he has a grin, will perform more tricks to get treats and has a strong 'herding' instinct that can be annoying.

Maggie's favorite hiding place is under my bed. although her tail gives her away every time

Maggie wondering when you'll be finished in the bathroom

She loves attention

They are some fast lil doggos!

Like his Grandpa

Jaxon has taken on Grandma Ginger's old 4wheeler, gotten it out of the back of the shop and got it running. It been a great project for him, one that we don't mind him taking apart and figuring out how to make it run. But now that he has it running he's become very comfortable riding it; riding it on two side wheels, riding it wheelie style, riding it up muddy embankments, riding it too fast, riding it over jumps. He worries me every time I see him stunt riding by!
The picture of him riding up the embankment reminded me of the picture I had of his Grandpa Dale doing the same. I can't imagine the trouble and fun these two would have had together!
